We're delighted to announce the opening of Solferino Rope Adventures!
The ropes course is located on our budding campus and is designed to:
• teach valuable life skills such as teamwork, confidence, and resilience,
• provide our students with a unique way to learn and grow
• provide a source of revenue for the school as well as provide jobs and income for future students.
Benjamin Allen, co-owner of CLAS Ropes in Utah and his family were instrumental in making this course a reality. He and Cesar Tavares, Karen Bates' father, volunteered to drive two trucks loaded with all the equipment needed to build a ropes course from Utah to all the way to the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico – despite facing significant challenges, including navigating difficult and dangerous conditions near the border.
We'd like to extend our deepest gratitude again, to the Allen family, Cesar Tavares, and everyone else involved in this project!
We are excited to share that Find Your Path Mission was recently spotlighted on KSL TV in Salt Lake City!
This coverage highlights the ongoing efforts of Karen Bates, our founder, and her family's profound commitment to bettering the lives of children in Mexico—a mission that many of you have been closely following and supporting.
As you may know, the Bates family was originally drawn to this cause through their volunteer work at orphanages and eventually made the significant decision to relocate from Pleasant Grove, Utah, to Mexico. They sold their house and nearly everything they own to make the move possible.
Their dedication to creating a nurturing environment where underprivileged children can thrive was encapsulated by Karen’s heartfelt words during the feature: "We just fell in love with the kids, wanted to be a part of their lives."
As we approach our goal of opening of our school this fall, we depend on your support to finalize the construction of dormitories and other essential facilities. Whether through donations, service trips, or volunteering, your involvement is crucial to our success and deeply appreciated.

We're thrilled to share an inspiring update about the ropes course currently being built at our mission site in Mexico!
Benjamin Allen, co-owner of CLAS Ropes in Utah, and Cesar Tavares, Karen Bates' father, volunteered to drive two trucks loaded with all the equipment needed to build a ropes course from Utah to all the way to the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico.
Despite facing significant challenges, including navigating difficult and dangerous conditions near the border, their commitment never wavered. Then, once the supplies were delivered, the rest of the Allen family flew in to help build the course.
Their efforts will leave a lasting impact on us and the youth we serve. This ropes course is designed to teach valuable life skills such as teamwork, confidence, and resilience, providing our students with a unique way to learn and grow. We're excited to share that Find Your Path Mission was recently highlighted on the Spanish language site Masfe.org.
This feature beautifully portrays the Bates family’s heartfelt journey from Utah to Mexico, where they are fulfilling their dream of opening a school for underprivileged teens.
Karen Bates, CEO of Find Your Path Mission, encapsulated the family’s drive and compassion with her words, “Simplemente, amamos a los niños y niñas, deseábamos ser parte de su vida,” which translates to, "We simply love these children and wanted to be a part of their lives." This sentiment deeply resonates with all of us here and drives our daily efforts.
